The appellation of controlled origin “delle Venezie” represents the entire north-eastern area of Italy, including the administrative territories of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions and of the autonomous province of Trento.<\/p>\n

The territory historically presents a unique microclimate that has allowed the production of wines with specific characteristics and a particular specialization in the production of Pinot grigio, thus being able to create a single macro area known as “tre Venezie”, “Triveneto” or “delle Venezie” , based on a criterion of proximity and pedo-climatic affinity. The territory of delle Venezie includes systems of viticultural lands characterized by common elements, first of all the history and geology of the material from which the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil originated.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1544439859514{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Alps, Sea, Rivers and Garda Lake<\/h3>\n

The wide plain between the Adriatic sea and the Po river is the result of the incessant work of floods and streams of water. This territory includes vast conoides and terraced surfaces, as well as the still active part (river beds) of the same watercourses and the valley floor surfaces of the main Alpine rivers (Adige, Brenta, Piave, Tagliamento and Isonzo).<\/p>\n

It is an area developed over the centuries due to the deposition of both calcareous and coarse material and gravel and sand, characterized by generally good drainage.<\/p>\n

From the Dolomites to the Karst, from Lake Garda to the lagoon of Venice and the Adriatic: a vast territory where the vine meets the ideal environment and climate capable of promoting the best expression of excellence and typicality of the Pinot grigio.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”1034″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1544439859514{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”1037″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Climate<\/h3>\n

The climate is characterized by average annual temperatures ranging from 0-12 \u00b0 C to 13-14 \u00b0 C. The coldest months, December and January, with temperatures ranging from 1 \u00b0 C to -5 \u00b0 C, alternate with the warmer months, July and August, with an average temperature between 20 \u00b0 C and 25 \u00b0 C. In the mountain areas and in the valley floors temperature ranges are lowered by 1 \u00b0 C or 2 \u00b0 C while the rainfall tends to increase more and more from west to east compared to the annual average (700-1300 mm).<\/p>\n

During the rainiest months, May, October and November, 150 mm of rain is reached in the pre-Alpine and upper Friuli areas. Thanks to the rainfall contribution and the overall good water capacity available, generally the soils do not present problems of water deficit.<\/p>\n

The typical cool and windy climate, effect of the alpine chain, allows to concentrate and maintain in the grapes a high acidity content that characterizes the wines. The sufficient water availability guarantees a limited but constant supply of water and allows a regular ripening of the grapes. A marked night-day temperature changes during the ripening of the grapes, instead, enhance and maintain the aromatic outfit of the grapes: these perfumes, combined with the acidic framework, allow to obtain fresh and aromatic sparkling wines.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
