Italy and the Pinot Gris – this is the theme of the “Grande Degustation de Montreal – Palmares de Degustation” contest which each year dedicates a different theme to 5 companies that will be imported for the following year at SAQ stores.<\/p>\n
This year it was the turn of Pinot Grigio in the year of the birth of the DOC delle Venezie and the wait was really high as the excellence of results:<\/p>\n
1. the Pinot Grigio for SAQ means Italy: 5 of 5 winning products in the Pinot Gris category are Italian products, from the Triveneto area more precisely. The rest of the world will compete for the top 5 in the Pinot gris category;<\/p>\n
2. the Pinot Grigio for SAQ is DOC delle Venezie: 3 out of 5 winning wines the contest were its own DOC delle Venezie, 5 out of 5 of members of the Consortium.<\/p>\n
