Protecting a shared heritage

Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie is a heritage to be protected, promoted and developed over time. This is why the Consorzio Vini DOC Delle Venezie was established: a system that brings together the entire supply chain of North-Eastern Italy with the aim of ensuring quality, identity and value for one of the world’s most recognised denominations.

Founded in 2017 and recognised by the Ministry in 2020, today the Consorzio represents the largest model of supra-regional integration in Italian wine: Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Province of Trento united under a single DOC.

PROTECTION AND SAFEGUARDING

Defending authenticity and value

Since 11 August 2020, the Consorzio has been officially recognised by MASAF and operates under a public mandate to safeguard the entire denomination.

This is why it works every day to protect the denomination and defend the system through:

market and large-scale retail controls
online monitoring and legal action against improper use of the name
registration and protection of the trademark at international level
management of supply by regulating volumes to prevent imbalances and preserve value over time.

CERTIFICATION

Verifiable quality

Every bottle of Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie is controlled throughout the entire supply chain.

An independent body verifies:

compliance with the production regulations
chemical-physical and organoleptic quality
full product traceability

Only at the end of this process is the State seal issued, printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.

PRODUCTION

Monitoring and managing the market

The Consorzio plays a direct role in production management.

The tools used help maintain a balance between supply and demand, ensuring greater stability and long-term value:

yield control
storage of grapes and wines
limits on reclassification
management of production potential

PROMOTION

Ensuring its value is recognised

Quality needs to be communicated. This is why the Consorzio develops a national and international strategy to ensure the denomination is not only sold, but above all recognised:

presence in key markets (USA, UK, Canada, Germany)
development of new areas (Asia and Latin America)
international trade fairs, masterclasses and events
increase in national initiatives, also thanks to numerous partnerships with institutional stakeholders and leading media
activation of numerous digital and social media collaborations to broaden and strengthen dialogue with an ever-growing audience.
